eBay Support London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has a new sponsor, this time from the biggest online shopping site, eBay, who recently signed a contract equal to the British Fashion Council (BFC), organizers of London Fashion Week.

Cooperation between eBay and the BFC Fashion Forward event is focused on, one of a series of London Fashion Week, which aims to support young British designers. "This cooperation will be handled entirely by the fashion branch of eBay," said the head of eBay Fashion Melanie Smallwood.

Furthermore, Smallwood also said that the collaboration as well as showing concern for eBay on the development of British fashion industry, especially with regard to young talents. "We want to help develop their existence in the fashion industry," said Smallwood.

BFC chief executive Caroline Rush expect support eBay could help open new markets for young designers, particularly those who participate in the Fashion Forward.

"This event has been going on for six years and every year we help seven young designers. Cooperation with eBay starting this year is expected to help them in the industry, "said Rush.
