Australia determined to move closer to Asia, not Europe

Prime Minister (PM) Australia Julia Gillard, on Sunday, announced the manifesto Asia 2025 with the greatest emphasis is on the agenda pressed Australia to neighboring countries in Asia, not the "old countries" of Europe.

As quoted from the pages of the BBC on Monday morning, Prime Minister Gillard confirmed that Australia's foreign policy orientation to increase the country's relations with Asia, especially China and India.

Australian government documents as thick as 312 pages is entitled "Australia in the Asian Century" and was released at the Lowy Institute, Sydney.

The main reason for Australia's foreign policy strategy to move closer to the Asian countries is nothing but lies in the forecast in the next 20 years Asia is home to the majority of middle-class world.

"The pace and scale of growth in Asia is staggering, and there are many opportunities for people in Australia," he said.

PM Gillard confirms further that the nation is not enough to rely on luck, Australia's future depends on the choices made today and how Australia is familiar with Asia.

Improving the school system in order to occupy the position 5 of the world, and at least 10 universities entered the row of the world's top 100 universities

Ensure the school's core curriculum includes study of Asia in Australia

Provide all school pupils the opportunity to learn Asian languages - Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese

Promoting that Australian businesses become more "Asia-literate".
